Namaste!

Praise God! We made it safely to Delhi after a 13 hr flight. We got in last night and couldn't really see much of the city for the fog/smog(?). We are staying for another two nights at the YWCA before we fly to Nagpur on Friday. First impression? The poverty is quite stark in comparison with the "posh" hotels and residencies around. The international airport itself was smaller than I expected and pretty run-down, which surprised me. The beggars outside and the smell of urine in the parking lot was difficult to ignore. Yet the warmth and friendly curiosity of our taxi driver put us relatively at ease as we tried not to look at the crazy, death-defying maneuvers of the drivers here! I am so excited to be starting this journey. It's finally sinking in that we are in India. We'll have more stories to come, but breakfast calls for now! :)
